A new turquoise colour was especially prepared for the Sismograf Dance festival 2020 in Olot in Catalonia (Spain) whose graphic charter is in this colour. It is canceled due to the lock down triggered by the Covid 19 international health crisis. The video film was designed, shot and edited in 3 days at the Labo Novo, International Performance Art Station in Reillanne (Provence, France).
Sinopsis : An exploring character invents an ephemeral and elastic gesture to escape, weaving in color with everyday life. Tribute to George Gershwin’s musical Blue, to the burlesque of silent films, superheroes and Loïe Füller’s Serpentine Dance… revealing the soul’s proper place. As well as a wink at the Coronavirus itself present in our lives and screens since early 2020, as personification, become a new “barrier” gesture against possible facial recognition measures.
